As Kingdom People, we started asking the question - “What if every street in Northern Colorado was faithfully covered in prayer?”
What if we as a church got outside and saw our every step as an opportunity for someone else to discover the life-changing power of Jesus? This Easter season, we’re inviting everyone at Good Shepherd- families, couples, singles, and seniors- to GO! The challenge is simple but powerful: 21 days to get outside, walk, and pray for our neighborhoods and community.
What is it?
Prayer walking is exactly what it sounds like: praying… while walking.
Not loud or showy. Not complicated or weird. Just ordinary people walking ordinary streets, whispering prayers to an extraordinary God.
Whether you're walking the dog, pushing a stroller, or sitting on your front porch praying over your block—this is for you. It’s not about how far you go, it’s about showing up and praying with intention.
How does it work?
Starting March 31, we’re asking every person in our church to commit to:
Pick your own neighborhood, or choose an area in Northern Colorado that God puts on your heart. You can walk solo or go with friends or family. We’ll provide a simple prayer guide each week to help focus your time—praying for Open Heavens, Open Hands and Open Hearts. Don’t worry, you won’t need fancy words or a theology degree. Just a heart that says, “Holy Spirit, come.”
Why does it matter?
We believe God wants to save people in Northern Colorado this Easter—and prayer is how we prepare the ground.
Behind every closed door is a story. Desperate loneliness. A broken marriage. A silent struggle. A longing for hope. And we know that prayer changes things.
Imagine what might happen if hundreds of us, across every corner of our city, covered Northern Colorado in prayer. Imagine new believers filling the churches on Easter Sunday. Imagine homes restored, hearts softened, and people who thought God had forgotten them realizing they are loved and have been created on purpose for a purpose.
Track. Celebrate. Share.
We’re using a simple website to help track where we’ve prayed, how much distance we’ve covered in prayer, and what God is doing along the way.
It’s also where you can share prayer requests, see answered prayers, and celebrate what God is doing in real time as our church joins in this move of prayer.
Every step is a prayer. Every prayer makes a difference.
Let’s walk this city with purpose—and believe that God is already on the move.
